Pipeline Replacement

A ripple was discovered at 6BL1 KP80.6 during planning for a pipe replacement outside and subsequent to EMAT ILI. This section of pipe happen to be located under the road and would not pass the loading assessment due to metal loss/corrosion features. OMH was asked by Enbridge to assist in replacing 80m of pipeline.

The scope consisted of:

• Pipe hauling, bending, removal and replacement of NPS 30” pipe.
• Mobilization to site.
• Pre-tie-in excavation and NDE.
• Pipe bending and subsequent delivery.
• Welding at site, including hydrotest preparation.
• Cut-out activities.
• Demobilization.
