Enbridge requested OMH complete the extraction of 360m of 30” and 36” abandoned pipe through and on each side of the Coquihalla River. The work also included restoration of the river channel bed and ROW at the ditch line from removed pipeline segments, and installing armouring and pipeline protection on the south bank of the active pipeline to protect the ROW from future erosion. OMH installed a 140’ bridge to create access from the north side to the south side, in order to install riprap.
The project scope included:
- Installation of a 120’ bridge.
- Removal of 400m of 30” and 36” pipeline.
- Installation of riprap armouring and pipeline protection on in service sections of pipe.
- Restoration of riverbed and all topsoil.
